Heaven is in Baltimore, first conceived in 2023 by Mark Anthony West at the Eubie Cultural Blake Center, is a radiant meditation on the soul of the city. Through intimate moments and evocative triggers, the show transforms Baltimore’s grit into grace, uncovering glimpses of heaven within the pulse of its neighborhoods, the resilience of its people, and the quiet poetry of overlooked corners. It is an invitation to see Baltimore as a living sanctuary and an invitation to remember religion—where beauty, hope and struggle intertwine, and transcendence rises from the everyday.
